The Top Five
Dominating the top five this week are players from Manchester City and Liverpool.
Leading the charge with 6.63 points is Liverpool midfielder Diogo Jota. Jota has been in a rich vein of form recently with returns in all of his last four matches. He faces Burnley this week so could be high on a lot of fantasy shortlists.
Not far behind Jota is Manchester City striker Erling Haaland with 6.51 points. Haaland will go into the new round as one of the standout captaincy options against Everton.
Our second and final Manchester City asset into the top five this week is Kevin De Bruyne with 6.21 points. De Bruyne returned in both of his matches since recovering from a long-term injury.
Liverpool defender Trent Alexander-Arnold is the highest ranking defender this week (5.4 points). Trent has both offensive and defensive potential against a woeful Burnley.
Completing the top five for projected points is Ollie Watkins (5.19 points). Watkins faces Manchester United this week but goes into the game off the back of a massive 18 points in Gameweek 23.
Who else joins the top 10?
Arsenal have a great fixture against West Ham next in which they will be looking for revenge after their last meeting which ended in defeat. Midfielder Bukayo Saka is expected to do very well in the match with 4.92 points.
The Liverpool success looks set to continue against Burnley this week. Midfielder Luiz Diaz joins the top 10 with 4.86 points. It has been a tough season for Diaz but he did managed an impressive 12-point return against Chelsea in Gameweek 22. Joining him is teammate Dominik Szoboszlai with 4.83 points. Szoboszlai didn’t make the Liverpool squad recently so awaiting an update will be key.
Newcastle have a meeting with a poor Nottingham Forest next up. With that in mind it won’t come as a shock that Kieran Trippier makes the top 10 (4.80 points). Trippier hit a goal and an assist in his most recent match showing he has huge attacking potential.
Fulham come up against Bournemouth next up. In what could be small surprise to many Willian makes and completes the top 10 with 4.80 points.
