Last modified date

In this article we take a look at some Asia Cup Fantasy expert team reveals for Matchday 3. Our expert Asia Cup Fantasy managers reveal their plans, some of the rationale behind the players they have chosen and the teams they are looking to investing.

Checking out some Asia Cup Fantasy expert team reveals for Matchday 3 can be extremely beneficial. Knowing which players and teams our experts are investing in can give us clarity on decisions we have to make in our own teams. This can also help us with plans around chips, captaincy and transfers.

Note: All teams are subject to change as we approach the deadline.

Notes

  • Overall, I am relatively happy with my team for MD3. We unfortunately received Dinh Bac injury news after MD2 deadline, so that punt failed and he seems like an obvious sell for MD3.
  • At the time of writing, my TC2 success is depending on differential Hashash, but for anyone still holding the TC chip I recommend playing it in MD3. This is because Japan v Indonesia smells like Fantasy points. Note that Qatar have already guaranteed winning group A, so if you have Afif or Almoez without significant fires elsewhere, you could consider selling if you fear rotation.
  • The biggest question is which Japan player to buy for a triple up. I like Kubo 7.5M mid because I am expecting Japan to send a strong line-up against Indonesia after losing to Iraq MD2 and because Kubo does not take up a valuable forward slot. He also matches my need of selling Dinh Bac. I have 0.5 ITB currently, so I need +0.5M extra for the upgrade. The obvious but “boring” route is selling Nawaf 4.5M Saudi GK for the 4.0 Saudi GK who actually plays.
  • I am not 100% confident about Ashurmatov and Ki-Je starting and playing 60+ after 0 pointers in MD2. But, I don’t feel like spending transfers swapping 4.5M defenders. If Tambakti ends up getting second yellow in MD2 into suspension MD3, then I might reconsider my approach.

Notes

  • I ended up rolling a transfer from the previous match week, so I’ll have three to work with here.
  • We’ll get unlimited transfers between the group stage and the round of 16, so every decision can be a one match punt.
  • Tamer Seyam (9M FWD) looks interesting for Palestine. He was very involved in their first two matches, with a goal and an assist, plus taking a pen that he missed. He also faces a very poor Hong Kong side.
  • Jordan Bos (4.5M DEF) is certainly a rotation risk, but has significant upside if he once again starts as a forward for Australia as he did versus Syria.
  • Takefusa Kubo (7.5M MID) re-joined the Japanese attack after injury limited him coming into the tournament. He looks like the cheapest route into a Japanese attack that will face a weak Indonesia side.
  • Captaincy options will likely be Mendes, Sayem, Kubo, Son.

Notes

  • Ali Jassim and Yazan will come in for Azmoun and Zayed Sultan. I may take -8 hit to sell Bos and Lee Ki Je and transfer in Behich and Kim Min-Jae.
  • Of course Afif will be captain for the first day.
  • Triple captain has been activated.

@hichemillo

Notes

  • Patience paid off for keeping Burgess (six points) and Shukorov (six points). Unfortunately it was not the case for Ki Lee Je and Taremi.
  • MD2 is better than MD1 until now (before Saudi game), and I think it will be the same in MD3 as many teams need to start their best XI (Japan, Korea… etc). Unfortunately Khalifa (UAE) was sent off with a total of three points so he needs to go for either a Syrian or Omani defender.
  • The second transfer is between Metcalfe/Shukorov to Ali Jasim probably.
  • I still have the triple captain chip but I am not sure I’ll activate it for MD3.

@FantasyHalf

Note

  • This fantasy game!!!!
  • Two Australian’s are out as they have already progressed.
  • Endo will come in for Metcalfe who has impressed and Japan still need a win so hopefully he’s nailed.
  • Hussain for Duke up top as he looks in form.
  • My plan is to use the free WC and bench boost in the last 16.

@fpl_habesha

Notes

  • Ali Jasim comes in for Metcalfe and Saudi GK for 4m.
  • I chose against the Qatar attack as I am afraid of rotation.
  • Mendes (c) for Jan 22.
  • Bos could start up top again and I am sticking by him.
