Top Picks – Defenders – Kyle Walker-Peters (£7.1m)

Southampton are a must in terms of defensive investment or at least it seems. The Saints have managed three full clean sheets on the bounce and they take that form into a match against a poor away side in Plymouth. The standout defender pick from Southampton is Kyle Walker-Peters who has managed four attacking returns this season. He has also recently taken over our next pick as the highest scoring defender in the game.

Leif Davis (£5.5m)

Ipswich faced Leeds and Leicester in the last two matches and came away with just one point. They will be looking to get back to winning ways at home this week as they clash with QPR who have failed to score in any of their last two matches. Leif Davis can benefit from QPR shortcomings in attack but he is also a major threat in terms of creativity – having registered nine assists so far this season.

Differential Defender Pick – Milan van Ewijk (£6m)

Coventry have been improving a lot recently and we can see that in the fact they are unbeaten in their last five matches. In both of their last two matches Coventry kept a clean sheet and they face Swansea next who are really struggling this season. Milan van Ewijk could be a great pick. The Dutchman has already collected three attacking returns this season so evidently has attacking potential.

Midfielders – Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall (£8.1m)

Leicester will be hoping to get back to winning ways this week as they face Cardiff. The Foxes sit at the top of the table but its their goal scoring that is catching the eye – scoring three or more goals in three of their last four league matches. The standout option is of course Kieran Dewsbury-Hall. Hall has been excellent this season and has racked up a huge seven goals and nine assists so picking him could be considered essential at this point.

Jack Clarke (£9.4m)

Sunderland have been underwhelming recently – losing two of their last four matches. However, they face Rotherham next who are rock bottom of the table and who have shipped a shocking 47 goals already. To target the Rotherham defence Jack Clarke is the standout. Clarke has produced 11 goals and one assist already this season and takes his sides penalties. The midfielder could well be a standout captaincy pick as well.

Differential Midfielder Pick – Callum O’Hare (£7.4m)

Coventry’ recent form is starting to perk the interest for GAFFR managers. In the last five matches they have netted between 2-3 goals in three of their last five matches. Helping his sides recent form is O’Hare who bagged three goals and one assist.

Forwards – Conor Chaplin (£6.7m)

If the league was based on home form then Ipswich would be just one point behind leaders Leicester coming into this week. They face QPR who have lost all three of their last league matches and conceded five goals in the process. Chaplin has become the fourth highest scoring striker in GAFFR because of his consistency this season. That has been helped by an impressive eight goals and six assists.

Adam Armstrong (£10.2m)

Southampton have scored a whopping 10 goals in their last three matches which shows how essential they are when it comes to attacking investment. A game against Plymouth who have conceded a massive 40 goals this season shows how much potential someone like penalty taker Adam Armstrong has. In terms of output he has notched up two attacking returns in five of his matches showing how explosive he can be. With that in mind Armstrong could also be a very good captaincy option this week.

Differential Forward Pick – Brandon Thomas-Asante (£8.2m)

West Brom may face Leeds next but they play at home, a place where they are in form and have beaten the likes of Norwich, Ipswich and Middlesbrough this season. One player who seems to be picking up some form is Thomas-Asante who has scored three goals in his last six matches. He leads the Baggies frontline into a game against a team who have picked up just one win in their last four matches and who lost to strugglers Preston 2-1 in their most recent match.
