FPL Experts Ahead of Gameweek 19

We take a look at some of the FPL experts ahead of Gameweek 19. With the new Gameweek approaching, we check out what some of the most elite managers have been talking about in the build up whether that be players to invest in, players to avoid and more.

Looking at what some of the FPL experts ahead of Gameweek 19 are talking about could be highly beneficial to other managers. Whether they discuss expected minutes, potential transfer targets, chip strategy or other key factors, it can all help to provide clarity within our own teams.

@FPLens

Gameweek 18 started with a a match between Crystal Palace and Brighton. Content creator Gabriel highlighted some of the standout assets in his tweet below this week.

Brighton are becoming extremely relevant because they have some of the best fixtures in the league over the next six Gameweeks. However, one player who may be ruled out is midfielder Kaoru Mitoma due to picking up an injury in his latest match.

Most could consider Pascal Groß in attack but for those wanting to take some risk with a defender then centre-back Van Hecke has started the Seagulls last eight league games and comes in at just £4m.

@FplMode

The blank Gameweek for Erling Haaland and tough fixture for Mohamed Salah meant that the captaincy options were very limited this week. Many went into the new round with Ollie Watkins as firm favourite for the armband.

Coming into Gameweek 18 Aston Villa were one of the leagues highest scorers with a superior record at home. However, Sheffield United proved difficult for the home side and the game ended 1-1. Not only did Watkins blank but popular transfer in and centre-back Ezri Konsa also failed to bag any significant points.

Content creator Baker also emphasised one asset in particular last week. Whilst many within the community flocked to the likes of Anthony Gordon and Cole Palmer, some went back for fellow midfielder Jarrod Bowen.

Bowen has been extremely consistent this season. The West Ham talisman still has just 22% ownership in the game even as he sits third best for points in the midfielder bracket. Bowen has Arsenal (away), Brighton and Sheffield United in the next three matches. With that in mind owners will regard him as a firm hold.

Another West Ham player to consider is Mohammed Kudus (£6.8m). The Ghanian has returned at least once in four of his last six matches. But, he will also be participating in the African Cup of Nations. Because of that it could be worth avoiding him until he returns.

@FPLFella

Erling Haaland’ recent injury meant that many within the community had the opportunity to take a chance on another striker until his return. Some chose to hold onto him, some chose to sell him for another asset but some also sold him for Dominic Solanke.

Whether you owned Solanke or not this week would have had a huge impact on how your round went. The Bournemouth hitman managed to rack up three goals and bag a huge 17 points this week. The Cherries come up against Fulham next up which is a huge opportunity to continue that form.

@hailcheaters

Two great accounts in the community highlighted the situation at Newcastle at the moment. The Magpies are becoming a very difficult team to invest in as the season progresses due to the sheer level of injuries they are suffering.

Newcastle faced a meeting with Luton this week and lost the game 1-0. This had many people questioning the value of their assets. We also have to factor in that they have matches against Liverpool, Manchester City and Aston Villa in the next four matches.
