Top picks – Defenders -Kyle-Walker Peters
Southampton are on a great run of form recently – winning six of their last matches and remaining unbeaten. The Saints play at home this week against Bristol City and although the latter won their latest match they have still failed to score in three of their last five games. Because of this it could be worth investing in Kyle-Walker Peters (£7.1m) who has also managed two assists and a goal this season.
Leif Davis
Ipswich continue their excellent season since being promoted from League 1. They have a game at home this week, a place they have won seven of their matches. In fact, they haven’t failed to win a home game since August. They have a meeting with Millwall next who have lost three of their last five but also failed to score in two of their last three matches. With all of that in mind the second highest scoring defender Leif Davis (£5.3m) is yet again a great pick. Davis reregistered a huge five assists in his last eight matches showing huge attacking threat.
Differential Defender Pick – Milan Van Ewijk
Coventry could be worth investing in this week. It has been a rough season for them but they have banked two full clean sheets in both of their last two matches which suggests their solidifying at the back. Right-back Milan Van Ewijk (£5.9m) has already scored this season so could have a great chance to secure another attacking return against Plymouth this week.
Midfielders – Crysencio Summerville
The set-back at Rotherham last round wasn’t ideal for Leeds but they still sit third in the Championship. They will be hoping to make things right this week against Swansea who have conceded at least two in both of their last matches. There’s no stopping Crysencio Summerville (£8.7m) at the moment and in fact has collected a huge 10 attacking returns in his last eight matches.
Kieran Dewsbury-Hall
Leicester are still a class above the rest even after losing two of their last three matches. The Foxes sit at the top of the league and face rock bottom Sheffield Wednesday next who have conceded a huge 29 goals and lost eight of their last 10 matches. Because of that Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall (£8m) could be a standout captaincy option. The midfielder has managed five goals and six assists in just 17 league games showing multiple routes to points.
Differential Midfielder Pick – Andrew Moran
Blackburn are improving in the goal scoring department – scoring seven goals in their last three matches. They play at home this week against Birmingham who have kept just one clean sheet in their last 10 games. Birmingham are a team to target and Andrew Moran (£6m) could be a great pick. Moran bagged a goal and an assist in his latest match.
Forwards – Georginio Rutter
The home match against Swansea this week could mean huge potential for the Leeds attackers. Although a doubt last week Georginio Rutter (£9.1m) surprised GAFFR managers by starting the game and creating the assist for the goal. His assist last week added to the four attacking returns he secured in his last seven league matches.
Adam Armstrong
Southampton have a great opportunity to score goals this week as they come up against an inconsistent Bristol City next. Leading the consistent Saints attack is Adam Armstrong (£10.2m) who leads every other in his position for GAFFR points so far. Armstrong’ recent form is also very impressive – scoring three goals and creating two assists in his last four league matches.
Differential Forward Pick – Jamie Vardy
The fact Leicester are playing the worst team in the league next makes their attacking hugely appealing this week. It has been a slow start to life in the Championship for Jamie Vardy (£9.9m). However, Vardy managed to score a brace in his most recent match which could reward him with a game against a very poor opposition.
