@FPLReaction’ Team Reveal for FPL Gameweek 11

The Premier League season continues so we look to the new round. We bring in Fantasy Football Community and Fantasy Football Scout contributor @FPLReaction to give you his FPL team reveal for Gameweek 11.

As we approach any given deadline, managers will be scrambling for clarity on some of the biggest decisions in the game like transfers and captaincy. Taking a look at @FPLReaction’s team reveal for FPL Gameweek 11 could benefit other managers when making those decisions.

Gameweek 10 Review

  • Last week was a very slight red arrow for me as I dropped from 716k to 724k. Overall it wasn’t great and I think most of that came down to captaincy. I was very tempted to captain Haaland last week knowing this is the kind of game he likes to play in. However I stuck with Saka and although Arsenal scored five goals he was involved in just one – picking up an assist and six points (12 for captaincy).
  • Not owning Salah week three – Salah was very quiet again this week and I genuinely thought he was going to blank. However, the Egyptian did what he does best and picked up points out of nowhere.
  • I suppose the biggest flops this week came from the backline. Trippier surprised me this week picking up zero points against Wolves. Pedro Porro should have kept the clean sheet if it wasn’t for a controversial goal (that definitely shouldn’t have stood).
  • Bowen and Watkins were also quiet in their matches which was surprising.
  • I suppose one of my biggest returns came from Darwin Nunez. I was very happy with his performance and he also returned early in the game which was nice.

Gameweek 11 team reveal (subject to change)

  • This is my current set-up for Gameweek 11.
  • You may notice that I have used one of my transfers already. To beat the price rise of Liverpool’ Tsimikas I brought him in for Pedro Porro.
  • I think the issue this week is that big teams play big teams. Tottenham are facing Chelsea and Arsenal are facing Newcastle which is far from ideal for some of my assets.
  • I think I want to keep Trippier long-term. Yes he faces Arsenal this week, a game that could go either way but he then faces teams like Bournemouth, Manchester United, Everton after that so the fixtures are ok.
  • I think I’m starting Areola ahead of Turner this week due to the fact Turner faces a relentless Aston Villa attack next up.
  • Its another week without Salah this week and against Luton I’ll probably be nervy throughout. It is interesting though that he started the cup game in midweek, I may even get lucky and he’s rested. One ace I do have though is the in-form Darwin Nunez who only played some of the cup game mid-week which should assure him a start on the weekend.
  • In terms of captaincy it’s very straight forward for me this week. Bournemouth are awful defensively lately and Haaland looks back to his best. Manchester City are also a different beast at home.
  • I am slightly tempted to bring in Mitoma for Maddison with my second transfer. However, I may need to transfers to change the structure of my squad to a five-man midfielder next week. This is something I need to think about.
