Gameweek 11 Best Free Hit Team
With a new Gameweek upon us we take a look at the free hit chip. Using the Fantasy Football Scout members area we can utilise the season ticker and underlying stats to determine the Gameweek 11 best free hit team.
The free hit chip in FPL allows managers, within the same budget and formational limits, to select a team for one particular Gameweek. Managers can attack any given Gameweek with the free hit whether that be to utilise a good set of fixtures, in-form teams or players or a mixture of it all.

Gameweek 11 Best Free Hit
Using the Live FPL website we can use one of its fantastic tools to plan transfers weeks in advance. Not just this, but we can also create team drafts to plan for using a chip. Take a look at the best free hit team for Gameweek 11:
Goalkeepers
Wolves come up against Sheffield United next who have so far picked up just one point from their first 10 matches. The Blades also rank the worst for goals scored (seven), worst for attempts on goal (85) and the worst for big chances total (nine). Because of that Wolves could have good clean sheet potential and so Jose Sa (£5m) makes the cut.
Nottingham Forest’ Matt Turner (£4.1m) will only feature if Jose Sa does not.
Defenders
Liverpool face one of the worst frontlines in the league next up in Luton. With that in mind and because he helps to enable funds elsewhere Kostas Tsimikas (£4.5m) could be a fantastic addition to the team. Matty Cash (£5.2m) continues to be a great option. He faces Nottingham Forest next who rank amongst the six worst teams for expected goals in the last four Gameweeks. Cash also ranks above every other defender in the game for non-penalty expected goal involvement (4.18).
Manchester United’s Diogo Dalot (£4.9m) could be a very nice risk this week. The Portuguese full-back ranks in the top five defenders for non-penalty expected goal involvement (0.84) in the last four matches. The Reds also face Fulham so he could have potential both defensively and offensively.
Brighton defender Igor Julior comes in at just £4.3m in the game. The centre-back has started the last three matches for his side and faces Everton next. He will likely stay on the bench along with Crystal Palace’ Marc Guehi (£4.5m).
Midfielders
The first addition to the midfield is Mohamed Salah (£12.8m). Liverpool are in top scoring form recently and its mainly down to this man. The Egyptian has bagged a return in all of his matches bar one so far this season and takes his sides penalties. Brighton sit joint second best in the league for goals scored this season (23). Because of that it could be wise to invest in their frontline. The best way to do that is with Kaoru Mitoma (£6.5m) who ranks above all of his offensive teammates for non-penalty expected goal involvement this season (4.83).
West Ham may seem tough on paper for Brentford but the Hammers are conceding some of the worst defensive stats in the league. One way to scrutinise the West Ham backline is with Bryan Mbeumo (£6.6). He takes penalties for the Bees but he also ranks second best amongst all midfielders for big chances total so far (nine). Targeting the Sheffield United backline could be very rewarding this week. They rank the worst for shots in the box conceded (133), the worst for attempts conceded (203) and the worst for big chances conceded (38). With doubt around Pedro Neto’s fitness it could be ideal to select Hwang Hee-chan (£5.5m). Hee-chan has bagged a return in six of his last seven matches.
Brighton attacker Simon Adingra (£5m) could be a brilliant first sub this week. He has started the last three league matches in attack for Brighton.
Forwards
Manchester City come up against Bournemouth next. The Cherries are quickly becoming the second worst defence in the league. They rank second worst for expected goals conceded (21.93), second worst for shots in the box conceded (122) and third worst for big chances conceded (33). Because of that it could be wise to invest in both Manchester City strikers Julian Alvarez (£7.2m) and Erling Haaland (£14m).
Ollie Watkins (£8.4m) continues to remain a fantastic option. No team in the league have scored more goals than Aston Villa so far (26) and Watkins leads the frontline. He’s also picked up a return in all of his matches bar two this season which reflects his consistency.
It’s time to do some long-term planning as we look at chips, who has the best fixtures and which players we should buy for the period ahead in our article here.
