Top 10 most popular FPL picks for Gameweek 7

The new round is approaching and many within the community have started making early changes to their teams. Because of this we check out the highest owned players in the game and pick out the top 10 most popular FPL picks for Gameweek 7 with the help of the Fantasy Premier League website.

Player ownership has become a massive part of Fantasy Premier League so knowing who top 10 most popular FPL picks for Gameweek 7 can help when it comes to making hard decisions regarding the use of transfers, captaincy and more.

The Top Five

  • Erling Haaland (92.5%) – The Manchester City striker sits as the highest owned player in the game. The Norwegian is also the highest scoring player in the game at the time of writing. He faces Wolves next up.
  • Bukayo Saka (65%) – Arsenal are in great scoring form and there is no surprise that their standout player is the second highest owned player in the game. Saka comes up against Bournemouth next whom are conceding some of the worst defensive stats in the game.
  • Pervis Estupinan (63%) – Brighton are yet to keep a single clean sheet but Estupinan still sits as the highest owned defender in the game. The full-back has got Aston Villa ahead so it could be a tough match to keep a clean sheet in.
  • Kaoru Mitoma (40.3%) – Mitoma also faces Aston Villa next up and although tough on paper Aston Villa are conceding some of the worst big chances total in the league. The Japanese international is the second Brighton player to make the top five.
  • Marcus Rashford (33%) – Manchester United could have an awkward game next up against Crystal Palace but has had more shots in the box than any other midfielder in the game so far this season. Playing in his left-wing role Rashford has been a much more effective FPL asset.

Who else makes the top 10?

  • Kieran Trippier (32.2%) – Newcastle have been maintaining some of the best big chances conceded in the league this season. Trippier also ranks as one of the best for chances created. He faces Burnley next up in Gameweek 7 so has a great chance for returns.
  • Bryan Mbeumo (31.2%) – Brentford are in great scoring form this season and Mbeumo has been there standout option. He takes his sides penalties which gives him another potential route to points. Brentford come up against Nottingham Forest next which could be a great opportunity for him to pick up points.
  • James Maddison (30.9%) – Tottenham have a potentially tough fixture against Liverpool next up but they are in top scoring form so far. Maddison is sustaining some of the best non-penalty expected goal involvements in the league so could have potential in the round ahead.
  • Alphonse Areola (30.2%) – West Ham are picking up some great results this season but they have also failed to keep a single clean sheet. That may change in the round ahead as the Hammers come up against Sheffield United next.
  • Mohamed Salah (29%) – Liverpool have both started the new campaign well and are scoring plenty of goals. Because of that we could see Salah rise dramatically in terms of ownership over the new several rounds.
