Best teams to triple up on after the break

The first international break is here so its time to look forward and plan ahead. With the help of the Fantasy Football Scout members area we utilise their fixture ticker and underlying stats to check out the best teams to triple up on after the break if any.

When Fantasy Premier League returns after the break it could be wise to get a plan in place. There are fixture swings coming up in the schedule so knowing which teams and fixtures to take advantage of will help with transfers.

Fixtures

Below we can see that the ticker has ordered the fixtures in difficulty order from now until Gameweek 9 – where many will be looking to wildcard. The teams at the top have the easiest fixtures and the teams at the bottom have the toughest fixtures.

The fixtures above will help towards identifying any teams who could be worth tripling up on in terms of investment.

Lets now take a look at each team and decide whether they are worthy of a triple investment.

Luton -The newly promoted side sit top of the fixture ticker but have conceded some of the worst defensive stats, maintained some of the worst offensive stats and do not many standout assets. Investing in one of their cheap defensive assets or striker and penalty taker Carlton Morris (£5.5m) could be ok but they are not worthy of a triple up.

Newcastle – They rank second on the fixture ticker for the period ahead. They also maintained one of the best defences last season. With that in mind the Newcastle triple up could be on. Some could potentially back the double up in defence with the likes of goalkeeper Nick Pope (£5.5m), and defenders Kieran Trippier (£6.5m), Sven Botman (£4.5m) and Fabian Schar (£5m). They also have some interesting attacking options as well like Midfielders Miguel Alimiron (£6.4m) and Anthony Gordon (£5.5m) and their standout attacker and striker Alexander Isak (£7.7m).

Fulham – The Cottagers have some of the best fixtures looking forward but they lack form and are conceding some very poor defensive stats. If one of their players were to be picked it could be goalkeeper Bernd Leno (£4.5m) but otherwise the triple up as off.

Manchester United – The Reds have a good schedule ahead and their attacking assets could be well worth investment. Midfielders Bruno Fernandes (£8.4m) and Bruno Rashford (£8.9m) could both be great options moving. The double up in attack could be useful but the Reds have key injuries in defence and have conceded some poor underlying defensive data making the triple up avoidable.

Who else should we consider?

Chelsea – The Blues have several key assets who could do well in the period ahead. Left-back Ben Chilwell (£5.8m) has been playing in an advanced position so he could be a good option. Striker Nicolas Jackson (£7.2m) has also been producing some good attacking data. Other options could include goalkeeper Robert Sanchez (£4.5m) and midfielder Raheem Sterling (£7.2m) so the triple up for Chelsea could well be on.

Aston Villa – They have been hit and miss but they have also proved reliable against weaker opposition. Although they rank highly on the ticker they still have to face sides like Chelsea, Crystal Palace and Brighton in the next three meaning the triple up could be difficult. They do have some great options in the likes of defender Matty Cash (£4.6m), midfielder Moussa Diaby (£6.6m) and striker Ollie Watkins (£8m). All three options are viable for the run ahead but all three together may not be that beneficial.

Liverpool – The Reds look very convincing offensively. The only issue with that is they tend to rotate their attackers which could cause issues. The standout option is of course Mohamed Salah (£12.5m) but at that price and with the returns he has been collecting he may not be worth money.

Other teams to focus on

Tottenham – They have been in fantastic form overall but play Arsenal and Liverpool in the run ahead. That may be the case but they do have a standout option in both defence and attack. Full-back Destiny Udogie (£4.7m) has proved to be a very good asset so far with multiple routes to points. Midfielder James Maddison (£7.8m) is also high amongst all players in the division for non-penalty expected goal involvement. Owning both could well be the limit here especially with Arsenal and Liverpool ahead so the triple up could be difficult.

Manchester City – The league holders have maintained some of the best underlying data in the league. Other than Arsenal their fixtures are also very good. The standout pick is obviously Erling Haaland (£14m) but to fully benefit from their attack it could be a wise move to back either midfielder Phil Foden (£7.6m) or striker Julian Alvarez (£6.7m). Their defence is also an appealing position to move on. Some could consider centre-back Ruben Diaz (£5.5m) or even goalkeeper Ederson (£5.6m). With that in mind the triple up is well and truly on.

Brentford – The Bees have been impressive so far and have a mixed bag of fixtures ahead. That may be but games against Everton, Nottingham Forest and Burnley could hold plenty of potential. They also face two out of form teams in Newcastle and Manchester United. Brentford rank in the top four sides for big chances and shots in the box. With this in mind and taking into account their cheap assets the double attack of midfielder Bryan Mbeumo (£6.8m) and striker Yoane Wissa (6.2m) could be on. They are also sustaining some strong defensive data and their standout option is full-back Rico Henry (£4.6m). Taking the above into account the Brentford triple up could be viable.

Is there any other teams to consider?

Arsenal – Its been a strong start to the season for Arsenal. They have produced some great attacking and defensive data so far. However, they face Tottenham, Manchester City and Chelsea in the next five games. Because of this it could be a good idea to rely on one attacking asset alone, midfielder Bukayo Saka (£8.7m).

Crystal Palace – They have a mixed bag of fixtures as well but have maintained some of the best defensive stats in the league. With this in mind managers could opt for centre-back Joachim Anderson (£4.6m). Midfielder Eberechi Eze (£6.3m) could also have some potential taking penalties and set pieces. Two players maximum could be acceptable for the run ahead but a triple up could be too much after the break.

Brighton – Brighton have started the season as they finished the last, brilliantly. They have been sustaining some solid defensive and offensive data but they have some tough games ahead. Defender Pervis Estupinan (£5.3m) has multiple routes to points so could still be a good option. The standout attacker is midfielder Kaoru Mitoma (£6.5m) with three returns in his first four matches. The triple up however should be avoided with the points ceiling due to the fixtures after the break.
