Top 10 most popular picks for Gameweek 4
The new round is approaching and many within the community have started making early changes to their teams. Because of this we check out the highest owned players in the game and pick out the most popular picks for Gameweek 4 with the help of the Fantasy Premier League website.
Player ownership has become a massive part of Fantasy Premier League so knowing who top 10 most popular picks for Gameweek 4 can help when it comes to making hard decisions regarding the use of transfers, captaincy and more.
- Erling Haaland (£14.5m – Manchester City – 91.3%) – The Norwegian penalty taker and focal point to the relentless Manchester City attack faces Fulham next. The Cottagers ranked joint worst for big chances conceded last season. Haaland will also likely be the standout captaincy option.
- Bukayo Saka (£8.6m – Arsenal – 66.6%) – The second most popular pick is Saka. Many thought the winger would be off penalty duty until he took and converted in Gameweek 3. This helped him to reach eight points. Saka comes up against Manchester United in the round ahead so it could be a tough game for the Englishman.
- Pervis Estupinan (£5.3m – Brighton – 64.5%) – Estupinan remains the most popular defender going into the new round. The full-back started the season excellently but slumped to a one-point return in Gameweek 3. He also faces Newcastle next so we could see his ownership drop as we approach the deadline.
- Kaoru Mitoma (£6.6m – Brighton – 44.7%) – The second most popular midfielder in the game is the Japanese international. Mitoma bagged returns in both of his first two matches but failed to continue that in Gameweek 3. With Newcastle next, one of last seasons best defences, we could well see Mitoma depart many teams within the community.
- Marcus Rashford (£9m – Manchester United – 41.8%) – Many managers were getting frustrated with Rashford’ performances in Gameweek 1 and 2 but he claimed seven-points for his two assists in the most recent round. Arsenal up next means a tough on paper matchup next so it could be interesting to see how many managers stick with him.
Who else makes the top 10?
- Kieran Trippier (£6.5m – Newcastle – 31.7%) – It has been a tough start for Trippier after failing to secure a return in any of his first three matches. The full-back faces another tough challenge against Brighton next.
- Ben Chilwell (£5.8m – Chelsea – 30.4%) – The Chelsea full-back continues to impress in his advanced wing position. Although he failed to pick up an attacking return in the latest round he still managed to keep a clean sheet. He faces Nottingham Forest at home next so could have plenty of potential.
- Alexander Isak (£7.7m – Newcastle – 28.8%) – The Swedish striker was fantastic in the first round against Aston Villa but since then has managed two back-to-back two-pointers. With Brighton up next some managers may be looking to ditch him.
- Andre Onana (£5m – Manchester United – 28.8%) – The goalkeeper bagged a return in the first round but since then hasn’t collected a significant return. Manchester United have tough fixtures ahead with Arsenal next so some be looking to play their bench option.
- William Saliba (£5.2m – Arsenal – 28.3%) – The centre-back had a great first two matches securing returns in both. However, Arsenal struggled against Fulham in Gameweek 3 drawing 2-2 which meant Saliba flopped to a one-point return. It may be extremely difficult for Saliba in Gameweek 4 with Manchester United ahead so we could see him leave plenty of teams.
