FPL experts ahead of Gameweek 1

We take a look at some of the FPL experts ahead of Gameweek 1. With the new round approaching, we check out what some of the most elite managers have been talking about in the build up to the latest round of Fantasy Premier League.

Looking at what some of the FPL experts ahead of Gameweek 1 are talking about could be highly beneficial to other managers. Whether they discuss expected minutes, potential transfer targets, chip strategy or other key factors, it can all help to provide clarity within our own teams.

@HinduMonkey

Experienced FPL manager and content creator HM shared his thoughts on one asset. Liverpool struggled to sustain a convincing rate of clean sheets last season. This continued during their pre-season matches as they kept just one clean sheet in their five games.

One player who many have considered in the build up to Gameweek 1 is Liverpool defender Trent Alexander-Arnold who has been given a steep £8m price-tag. Many within the community feel that at his price and with the Reds current defence, it could be wise to avoid investing in him.

@FplMode

Fantasy Football Scout contributor and content creator Andy revealed his latest draft this week ahead of the deadline. He has gone with a starting formation of 3-4-3 with popular picks like John Stones (£5.5m), Gabriel (£5m) and Pervis Estupinan (£5m) at the back.

Interestingly, Andy has opted for Joao Pedro (£5.5m) up front who has impressed for Brighton during pre-season and also took and scored a penalty. His bench looks like it could be utilised in Gameweek 2 when the Chelsea fixtures improve – selecting defenders Levi Colwill (£4.5m) and Ben Chilwell (£5.5m).

@FFScout_Tom

Fantasy Football Scout contributor and experienced FPL manager Tom highlighted one player who could become a very interesting asset in the early weeks. Chelsea have show vast improvements during pre-season and start the new campaign with some great fixtures.

Carney Chukwuemeka has impressed in a number role for the Blues. He is also priced at £4.5m in FPL making him one of the cheapest playing midfielders in the game. With Christopher Nkunku (£7.5m) potentially out for around two months, Chukwuemeka could well solidify gametime.

@FplRossoneri

Fantasy Football Community contributor Nick brought up something of huge significance this week. Rumours are heating up that Brighton could make a new signing before the deadline. Brighton impressed hugely last season and ended their campaign with more shots on target than any other side in the division.

Investing in the Brighton attack could be key for FPL managers. However, the potential arrival of Mohammed Kudus could put a spanner in the works for other attackers. Kudus could also become a very good asset too – he was fantastic in both the World Cup and also in his most recent Champions League campaign.

@FPL_ElStatto

Fantasy Football Community and Fantasy Football Scout contributor El Statto created a great graphic this week. As we can see he displayed the ownership of several Manchester City assets. Erling Haaland (£14m) is owned by a huge 87% of managers.

Second on the list is centre-back John Stones (£5.5m). He has been playing in a midfield role which has contributed towards his popularity. In addition, Midfielder Phil Foden (£7.5m) sits fourth on the list. Some within the community are worried about his minutes after failing to start most of his sides pre-season matches.
