Projected points for Gameweek 1
- Erling Haaland (£14m) – The Manchester City striker leads the pack with a projected points of 6.6. The Norwegian faces promoted side Burnley in Gameweek 1 and is the clear favourite in terms of captaincy.
- Martin Ødegaard (£8.5m) – Arsenal have a good first fixture against Nottingham Forest in Gameweek 1 and its another Norwegian who ranks near the top for projected points (5.8).
- Bukayo Saka (£8.5m) – Similar to his teammate above, Saka finished amongst the top six highest scoring FPL players last season. Taking penalties and maintaining a great shots in the box rate last season both help towards a projected points total of 5.8 putting him level with his fellow attacker.
- Marcus Rashford (£9m) – Manchester United face Wolves in the opening round and after 17 goals and five assists last season their talisman Rashford is expected to hit 5.7 points.
- Bruno Fernandes (£8.5m) – It could be a tough first round for Wolves as they face one of the most creative players in the league last season. Fernandes also takes his sides penalties which contributes to a projected points tally of 5.5.
- Gabriel Martinelli (£8m) – The projection tool is expecting plenty of returns in the Arsenal attack this week. The Brazilian joins his midfielder teammates amongst the top 10 with 5.5 points.
- Kevin De Bruyne (£10.5m) – Manchester City’ match against Burnley is expected to give plenty of fortune to their assets. The Belgian sustained some of the best distribution data in the league last season. De Bruyne looks set to collect 5.1 points in Gameweek 1.
- Kaoru Mitoma (£6.5m) – It may come as no surprise that a Brighton player makes the top 10 this week. Mitoma managed eight returns in a 10-match period last season. As we can see above Mitoma could pick up 5.1 points this week.
- Newcastle defender Kieran Trippier (£6.5m) and Tottenham striker Harry Kane (£12.5m) complete the list with 4.9 and 4.8 points.
