Overviewing the transfers and gossip up to July 7th can be a huge help for fantasy managers around the world. Whether it affects Fantasy Premier League, UCL Fantasy or another Fantasy game, we look at what the deal could mean for the player or team from a fantasy point of view.
Jurrien Timber to Arsenal
As stated below by David Ornstein, Arsenal have now reached a full agreement with Ajax to sign Jurrien Timber. Negotiations were completed on a fee of €40m plus €5m in bonus. The 22-year-old will undergo medical tests and finalise personal terms.
Arsenal have a busy schedule ahead after securing Champions League football. This also means that they will need plenty of squad depth to navigate their season. Timber provides exactly that. This could also mean that Arsenal are more defensively investable for both FPL and UCL Fantasy players.
Declan Rice to Arsenal
Ornstein also confirmed that Arsenal have reached a full agreement with West Ham to sign Declan Rice. The deal will go through with a record £100m fee plus £5m in add-ons. He also states that Rice has been given permission to undergo medical tests and finalise personal terms.
Arsenal continue to improve the strength and depth of their squad ahead their 23/24 season. Rice predominantly plays in a central midfield role and is hailed as one of the best in Europe in his position. This move only increases the appeal of both their defensive and offensive assets for FPL and UCL Fantasy managers.
Christian Pulisic to AC Milan
Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that AC Milan and Chelsea are advancing to the final stages of negotiations for Christian Pulisic – the deal is worth €22m. Pulisic has been clear – he wants to join AC Milan for the new season.
Pulisic can play on both the left and right flank as well as a number 10 role – he can also lead the line has he did for USA in the most recent World Cup campaign where he scored and registered two assists. He could be an interesting prospect for both Serie A Fantasy and UCL Fantasy players if the deal is confirmed.
Andre Onana to Manchester United?
Fabrizio Romano states that Manchester United’ original bid of €50m is not enough. Inter rejected €45m plus €5m add-ons but sources suggest that €55m will be enough to sign Andre Onana in the next few days.
Manchester United continue their attempts to replace long-term number one David De Gea. Andre Onana showed huge qualities in Inter’ Champions League efforts. The goalkeeper has both great shot-stopping ability and reflexes and will almost certainly improve the appeal of the Manchester United defence both in FPL and UCL Fantasy.
Kim Min-jae to Bayern
Former Napoli defender Kim Min-jae has completed the main part of his medical tests as a Bayern player. He also states that the €50m release clause needs to be triggered then it will be official. But what will Kim Min jae bring to Bayern?
Kim Min-jae was excellent for Napoli in their title winning season. The centre-back helped the Italian side to secure a huge 18 clean sheets last season. Min-jae is specifically strong when it comes to aerial duels, positioning and ground duels.
