Transfers and gossip up to June 28th
As the leagues come to their conclusion around Europe and the rest of the world, many will be looking to buy, loan or sell players. We catchup with the transfers and gossip up to June 28th with the help of top tier source Fabrizio Romano and other reliable sources.
Overviewing the transfers and gossip up to June 28th can be a huge help for fantasy managers around the world. Whether it affects Fantasy Premier League, UCL Fantasy or another Fantasy game, we look at what the deal could mean for the player or team from a fantasy point of view.
Marcus Thuram to Inter
Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that Marcus Thuram landed in Milan to undergo medical tests. The 25-year-old can play as both a winger and a striker. He also bagged 13 goals and six assists for Borussia Mochengladbach last season.
Inter were a striker short after the departure of Edin Dzeko so Thuram’s arrival is great timing. UCL Fantasy managers could be excited about both his position and price-tag when the new game launches for the 23/24 campaign.
Manchester City in for Declan Rice
As we can see below, West Ham have rejected Manchester City’s first official bid for Rice worth £80m plus £10m add-ons. Fabrizio also states a third Arsenal bid is expected soon after the Hammers rejected the last two.
There looks to be a battle between Manchester City and Arsenal to clinch Declan Rice who is primarily a central midfielder. Rice offers the complete package and will no doubt help his new side both defensively and offensively.
Lucas Hernandez edges closer to PSG
French giants PSG are close to signing Lucas Hernandez. Talks are progressing to the final stages between PSG and Bayern but personal terms have been agreed. Hernandez is a 27 year-old-defender who can play in a left-back and centre-back role.
PSG have been defensively questionable for some years which has in turn prevented UCL Fantasy managers from investing into their backline. However, with this change, managers could be more inclined to back the PSG defensive assets.
Ruben Loftus Cheek to AC Milan
It is understood that Chelsea’s Ruben Loftus Cheek is really excited about a move to AC Milan. The deal could be worth €16m plus €4m in add-ons. Personal terms have been agreed and the deal looks set to be completed.
Ruben Loftus Cheek has spent the majority of his career on the side-lines for Chelsea. When playing he has featured in both a central midfield and a wing-back position. It is unknown what he is going to bring to the Italian side but one of them is versatility.
Newcastle show interest in Tino Livromento
Fabrizio Romano states that Newcastle have opened up talks with Tino Livromento. He also mentions (with an additional source) that Discussions are ongoing to bring in another right-back and that the fee is around £12m.
Tino Livromento has impressed during his time at Southampton but with the Saints now relegated to the Championship, he could be looking for a quick exit. Livromento is a 20-year-old defender who suffered a serious injury recently but has huge potential. A signing like this would add to the much needed squad depth for Newcastle ahead of their Champions League season.
