How to invest in Tottenham for double Gameweek 20

We take a look at how to invest in Tottenham for double Gameweek 20. Looking at form and minutes to determine who could be the best picks whilst utilising the Fantasy Football Scout members area to help us.

Double game weeks can be the most exciting period of the season for many fantasy managers. They can help gain rank or an edge over mini league opposition if we pick the right players so looking at how to invest in Tottenham for double Gameweek 20 could be key.

Who do Tottenham face?

At the time of writing, Tottenham play matches against Arsenal at home and Manchester City away. Both could be deemed as tough fixtures.

The Tottenham defence

From a defensive point of view, it is quite concerning. Tottenham have only kept five clean sheets this season. However, the appeal in the defence is the fact they play with a wingback system that gives their wingbacks the opportunity to get into some of the most dangerous areas of the pitch.

The options

Some could back defensive assets like goalkeeper Hugo Lloris (£5.5m) or centre backs Eric Dier (£5.2m) or even Cristian Romero (£4.9m). However a lot of managers focus should lay with the wingbacks. One option could be Croatian Ivan Perisic (£5.5m) who has sustained some of the best distribution stats amongst all defenders. On top of that, the wingback has also created five assists this season.

Another cheaper option could be Matt Doherty (£4.6m). He looks to be assured in terms of his minutes and secured an impressive 14-point haul due to his goal, clean sheet and bonus points in Gameweek 19. Doherty also had more shots in the box than any other player in the league in the latest round.

The Tottenham attack

Tottenham may be inconsistent defensively but in terms of offensive stats their up there with some of the best in the league. Amongst all teams this campaign Tottenham rank third for goals scored, third for goals scored in the box and third for attempts on target.

The options

The standout option from Tottenham is Harry Kane (£11.6m). The striker has managed a whopping 15 goals and one assist this season. Amongst all players in the league he also ranks third for total attempts on goal, second for headed attempts on goal and second for expected goals.

Another play many should consider, if fit, is midfielder Dejan Kulusevski (£7.9m). The winger has been out due to injury but could be edging closer to full fitness. Kulusevski bagged five assists and one goal in just 10 matches this season.

If managers are looking for a different option, they could even back the out of sorts Son Heung-Min (£11.6m). The attacker may have been poor for most of the season but he did net in his most recent match picking up eight points in FPL.
