Coventry
Coventry had a fantastic campaign last season and although bottom of the Championship for large parts of the current season, they have improved. In fact, Coventry’s recent form has placed them 15th in the league.
The recent form of Coventry should be enough to attract fantasy managers. They have won four of their last five matches whilst also keeping clean sheets in the same four games. What is even more appealing and probably the most important factor is that Coventry have a double Gameweek against West Brom and Swansea in the round ahead.
GAFFR managers could be considering goalkeeper Ben Wilson (£4.6m). In defence Jake Bidwell (£5.6m) could be an appealing asset. Midfielder Callum O’Hare (£6.9m) may be another good asset. O’Hare has managed to create two assists from his five starts and hit two shots on target and created a key pass in his most recent match.
Coventry striker Viktor Gyokeres (£8.1m) should be high up on managers Gameweek 23 shortlist. The Swedish striker is now the joint fifth highest scoring player in his position with nine goals already this season.
West Brom
Prior to the new season, West Brom were tipped to challenge for promotion. Unfortunately, the Baggies have failed to meet the high standards football fans held for them. West Brom sit 17th in the Championship but things were a lot worse when they sat in the relegation zone.
West Brom are improving and that is evident in their recent matches where they won four of their last five matches whilst also keeping three clean sheets. They face a double Gameweek against Rotherham and Coventry in the round ahead.
GAFFR managers could be considering goalkeeper Alex Palmer (£5.4m) or even head into the backline and pick out Darnell Furlong (£6m). Moving into the attack it could be the perfect time to invest in John Swift (£9.7m). The midfielder has managed three goals and four assists so far. Some could even consider going for the more expensive option in Jed Wallace (£10.6m). Wallace has matched the output of Swift this season.
Amad Diallo
Sunderland have been impressive after their rise to the Championship. They sit 11th in the league, surpassing many fans expectations as they progress. They have scored two or more goals in 10 of their league matches so far whilst their opponent Hull, have conceded two or more goals in 13 of their matches.
Amad Diallo’s (£6.1m) form has caught the attention of both his manager and football fans. In his three most recent matches, the midfielder has picked up three goals and one assist. Investing in players that hit form can be key to make rank gain and considering its a player facing the worst defence in the Championship, he has fantastic potential ahead of Gameweek 23.
