FPL Fixtures, the Longview GW34: Which teams should we target and avoid?

Long-term planning is ideal but sometimes difficult to execute. With this in mind, let’s assess FPL fixtures beyond the next couple of weeks.

FPL Fixtures

The Fantasy Football Scout season ticker allows managers to look at an editable period of Gameweeks of their choosing. Managers can delete Gameweeks, change the ratings of games and sort by difficulty. Here is the ticker for the final five Gameweeks:

The FFScout season ticker also offers separate rankings focused on both attack and defence.

Teams to target

As last week’s piece was influenced by the Double Gameweek 33 of seven teams, there are some changes in difficulty rankings.

Arsenal and Burnley have dropped several places overall, with Chelsea overtaking Leicester into top position. Of course, the precise layout of the Blues’ final fixtures depends on their FA Cup semi-final with Crystal Palace. But, as a set of seven matches, Thomas Tuchel’s side will be confident of bouncing back from their Champions League exit.

Perhaps the league starts of Reece James are now a bit more secure, with Antonio Rudiger also a popular choice. FPL managers are also deciding between Mason Mount and Kai Havertz as their attacker of choice. The problem is that Chelsea’s third place is likely secured, so there’ll be very little to play for.

Following the James Maddison rests of several weeks ago, last Sunday was Leicester team mate Harvey Barnes‘ turn to be benched. In stepped cheap midfielder Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall to grab a goal, assist and 13 FPL points. Consecutive Double Gameweeks 36 and 37 will have huge appeal.

Son, Kane, Bentancur and Kulusevski revel in Spurs win | Hampstead Highgate Express

Elsewhere, don’t expect the mass coverage of Spurs talent to slow down over the final five weeks. Before yesterday’s game with Brighton, the previous three matches had brought six double-digit hauls between Harry Kane, Son Heung-min and Dejan Kulusevski.

As with Chelsea, the exact order of Crystal Palace’s final games depends on today’s semi-final. With this in mind, their nice run could put Wilfried Zaha, Conor Gallagher and Jean-Philippe Mateta on the radar.

Aston Villa has the fixtures but not the form. Ranked near the bottom of recent Longviews because of their Blank Gameweek 33, four successive defeats suggest their season is over. However, home matches versus Norwich, Crystal Palace and Burnley may encourage the purchases of Philippe Coutinho, Ollie Watkins and Matty Cash. It also helps Jacob Ramsey owners consider a Bench Boost.

Teams to avoid

Newcastle is at the bottom and that’s despite their imminent trip to Norwich. Managers who brought in Fabian Schar, Martin Dubravka, Chris Wood or Allan Saint-Maximin over recent days will likely wait one more week until selling.

Additionally, West Ham faces Chelsea, Arsenal and Man City in their final five without any Double Gameweeks. Those contemplating Jarrod Bowen may want to try something else.
