FPL GW29 Transfers: Seeking Saka and Spurs

A look at which Fantasy Premier League (FPL) players have had the most transfers in and out so far this Gameweek.

FPL Transfers

These are the most bought and sold players so far, as of Thursday evening. Furthermore, the Fantasy Premier League (FPL) deadline is at 11:00am (GMT) on Saturday 12 March.

Initially, the frontrunner for most-bought was Reece James (£6.2m). That’s until news broke of an injury setback that should rule him out of at least two Gameweeks. Expect to see him turn up in the most-sold list by the time Saturday morning’s deadline arrives.

Therefore Bukayo Saka (£6.5m) is in the lead because of six goals and three assists in his last ten matches. This includes one of each at Watford last Sunday. Only Arsenal and Spurs play twice in Gameweek 29 whilst still having a match in Blank Gameweek 30. That’s why it’s no surprise to see the trio of Dejan Kulusevski (£6.1m), Harry Kane (£12.4m) and Matt Doherty (£4.7m) transferred in by many.

Well, maybe Doherty is a surprise. A peripheral figure in Spurs’ season, he has suddenly hit some fantastic form by returning 18 and 14 points in his last two outings. If the former Wolves man is firmly Antonio Conte’s number one choice at right wing-back, he looks like a bargain over these upcoming fixtures.

Kulusevski was a known Serie A talent but to grab two goals, three assists and 33 points in his first five Premier League matches is very impressive. As for Kane, you know Harry Kane. He’s Harry Kane. Three double-digit hauls out of four suggests the real Kane is back.

Jarrod Bowen (£6.9m) lost half a million owners ahead of last Saturday’s trip to Anfield. His subsequent knock has already cost him a further 300,000. The injury doubt, lack of Double Gameweek and appeal of other midfielders has all contributed, despite being one of the few to have a Gameweek 30 match.

Injuries and knocks have also affected the ownerships of Ruben Dias (£6.2m), Joao Cancelo (£7.0m) and Cristiano Ronaldo (£12.3m), although the latter is also likely because he’s in poor form compared to Kane. Additionally, Pep Guardiola wasn’t able to confirm whether Cancelo will return from illness for the Crystal Palace trip. “I don’t know – he’s sick right now,” he said. “Hopefully, I don’t know… we play Monday, we’ll see.”

Finally, Diogo Jota (£8.3m) has only played 34 minutes of Liverpool’s last four league matches. His time looks heavily affected by the signing of Luis Diaz.
