Fantasy5 FFS Challenge: FPL Marc’s Week 6 Reveal
In mid-November, Fantasy Football Scout unveiled a nine-week battle that pits ten staff members and Pro Pundit experts against each other in Fantasy5. To determine who truly has the best eye for a Fantasy player, the FFS Challenge mini-league will take place between Gameweeks 12 and 20.
A small prize is up for grabs but, more importantly, so is bragging rights. The challenge requires picking a player from each of the week’s five selected matches who you think will exceed their assigned ‘points target’ (par score). The more players that do so, the better.

After five Gameweeks of this Fantasy5 contest, I am still yet to get a prediction correct and am rooted to the bottom of the league. But it just feels absolutely impossible to get one correct, as this was another occasion where I selected players that scored yet still just about fell short of their points target – Alexandre Lacazette (6.5) and Raphinha (7.5).
Of the others, Raul Jimenez was sent off against Man City, Jadon Sancho blanked and – whilst Trent Alexander-Arnold kept a clean sheet against Aston Villa (getting all three FPL bonus points) – his six here fell short of the 9.5 target.
Brighton v Wolves is a difficult one to choose from, with Raul Jimenez suspended and Brighton’s defence plagued with injuries. I’ve selected Leandro Trossard, as the playmaker has had the league’s seventh-most shots. Despite Burnley not scoring in their last three matches, they face a Watford defence that it still to keep a clean sheet. Maxwel Cornet is unlikely to play because of a thigh injury, so I’ve plumped for main man Chris Wood to score. However, his 6.5 points target will require more than just a goal, which is something I’ve been a victim of several times.
Nathan Redmond is yet to score this season but had an earlier spell up front where he looked threatening. As Ralph Hasenhuttl has ruled out Che Adams and placed doubts upon Adam Armstrong and Armando Broja ahead of their trip to Crystal Palace, I believe Redmond will be called upon to be a striker.
Such is West Ham’s season, I truly think they are the favourites in their away trip to Arsenal. Therefore I will choose striker Michail Antonio, despite him being on a goalless streak of seven matches. My final pick was tricky, as I don’t back Everton to score at Chelsea but Thomas Tuchel’s players are either rotation risks or priced too highly. Antonio Rudiger was one of the few players to overcome their points target at the weekend and I back him not just for a clean sheet but to provide his sixth attacking return of the season.
