Live FPL Rank Tiers – GW15

An inside look into the decisions of FPL managers, by rank, using the Live FPL website

AUTOSUBS MADE

By far the main absence both overall and for the top 10k was Covid victim Ivan Toney, with the continued lack of Luke Shaw and Aaron Cresswell also causing autosubs. This is before Monday night’s Everton v Arsenal clash and there are rumours of an Emile Smith Rowe groin injury that may seem him miss out. If so, that will likely see even more two-point contributions from Tino Livramento, Emmanuel Dennis and Conor Gallagher enter teams. Almost 9% of the top 10k got lucky by receiving Michail Antonio‘s late assist against Chelsea.

TOP 10K CHIP USAGE

Barely any chip usage again – understandable for this time in the FPL calendar. Last time we checked this (after GW12), 96.92% of the top 10k had Wildcarded, so it’s interesting that a decent number have overtaken them yet still have this chip in their pocket.

TOP 10K TEMPLATE

Three Gameweeks have passed since the previous look at the top 10k template, so naturally a few names have changed. The injury to Ben Chilwell sees him replaced both here and at Chelsea by Marcos Alonso, whilst the two Phil Foden-less matches brought a plethora of Diogo Jota transfers. The third difference is Smith Rowe coming in for Bryan Mbeumo – a man many have given up on.

A line-up with Mohamed Salah as captain and a bench of Toney, Livramento, Josh Brownhill and Ben Foster would have scored 39 points (with Aaron Ramsdale and Smith Rowe left to play).

EFFECTIVE OWNERSHIP

The EO (percentage of starting XI teams, plus captaincy, of a player) numbers are fairly consistent across ranks for the likes of Salah, Raphinha, Toney and Trent Alexander-Arnold, although the most variance seems to be with Jota, Ramsdale and Alonso.
